As president of our Interbelief Initiative at NCSU, I attended the Sixth Annual President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge at Gallaudet University. While there, I presented, along with students from three other colleges, on best practices for connecting with community partners on and off campus for interfaith programs. Planning interfaith work can be extremely draining, but hearing the insight, experiences and passion shared by the students, faculty and staff who do this at their colleges and their nonprofits was much needed. To be around others like me, who are passionate in doing what I’m doing, working today for a better tomorrow for all, is inspiring and reinforcing me to continue what I do.
