Appalachian State Hillel is a community of undergraduate students that want to engage, learn, and celebrate Jewish life. App State Hillel offers a variety of ways to allow students to explore any part of Judaism that interests them; from study of the Torah to religious holidays to social justice to Israel. There are approximately 300 undergraduate Jewish students at Appalachian State. The entire App State community is welcome to all events from monthly Shabbat services at Temple of the High Country to our annual Mountaineer Passover. We want Hillel to be a place for you to deepen your connection with Judaism and to experience being a part of a welcoming campus community.
App State Hillel also works closely with other student groups on campus. We participate in campus wide events from Find Yosef a Holiday to Tunnel of Oppression.
NC Hillel generates centralized Statewide programming open to students from any North Carolina campus, including a leadership retreat, Taglit-Birthright Israel, and Alternative Winter and/or Spring Breaks.
